Special Delivery #13 | LiLash!

Cosmetic Pros is an American company from Scottsdale, Arizona, who specialise in transforming lashes and brows. Their special serums promise to enhance the eyes, "evoking confidence, positivity and allure."

Cosmetic Pros have two products, the LiLash and the LiBrow. I was sent the Demi sized version of the products. The Demi version contains enough serum for a three-month induction cycle, whereas the Original version contains a three-month induction and a six-month maintenance cycle.

The LiLash serum is supposed to give you longer lashes, which is definitely what I want and need! "LiLash® conditions and fortifies your lash follicles to help create the most beautiful eyelashes you have ever experienced." You are supposed to apply this to the upper lash line, as if you're applying eye liner. Then the next day, you change direction of application. This was a bit tricky for me as i'm used to applying eye liner in one direction, but I got the hang of it.

Where as the LiBrow darkens brow hair while thickening and filling in the sparse areas, "LiBrow safely fortifies and conditions your brow follicles while gently darkening brow hair with a unique botanical tinting agent." With the LiBrow, you apply it under the arch of the brow, or anywhere that is patchy.

Here are my before pictures! As you can see, my eyelashes are really short, and my eyebrows could do with some tinting. I've used these products for almost a week now and I can see some changes to my lashes, but nothing major. I am going to be using these products for a month before reporting any huge changes.

This Friday it's Black Friday! Meaning loads of discounted products, including LiLash and LiBrow products. From 28th November to the 1st of December, they're offering 25% off all their products, with a free gift included. There's also free shipping worldwide. If you're really not satisfied with the product, there's a 90 day money back guarantee.

You can purchase LiBrow and LiLash here.

*I was sent Demi sized samples of the LiLash and LiBrow, and all views and opinions are of my own.

Review: Neutrogena Visibly Clear Rapid Clear Treatment

Lately i've been breaking out, with large spots on my forehead, and smaller ones on my chin. I'm going to blame winter for the arrival of these spots. Anyway, I started looking for spot gels that wouldn't dry out my skin and that I could wear under and over make-up. I'll be honest, there were so many treatment gels and they all had pros and cons with them.

I settled with Neutrogena's Visibly Clear Rapid Clear Treatment gel, which is designed to keep skin looking clear and healthy, without drying out the skin. It's also supposed to reduce the spot size within 4 hours.

It did reduce redness, but it didn't reduce the size of my spots within 4 hours. My spots were still big, and I had to use it every day for the spots to slowly disappear. The gel dried fast and I could use it under make-up. It didn't leave any dryness unlike other treatment gels that i've tried.

I would not recommend this for those who have acne, but for those who have the odd spot that pops up once in awhile. It's not fast-acting like I had hoped, but I can deal with that. This was super cheap at Superdrug for £3.99 and I bought it while it was on a buy one get one free deal.

A day at Birmingham's German Market!

Birmingham is said to have the largest authentic German market outside of Austria and Germany, and it's the main tourist attraction of the year. I love walking through and spending an hour or two here. I mainly love the delicious food there is on offer.

Sometimes you forget to look up from the stalls...All the details on top of the stalls are so adorable,

There are lots of stalls selling cute ornaments...

I ordered the red sausage...

And it was very big...

There's loads of sweet treats on offer too, like these amazing doughnuts...

These were duck fat roast potatoes, and they were soo good!

The German Market is open from 10am - 9pm until the 22nd of December, running from New Street towards Chamberlain Square.

Have you been to the German Market? What did you think?

Nail Art #14 | Christmas themed nails!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...and gloomiest, because of the horrible weather!

I love the holiday season. I love all the shiny glittery ornaments, and all the amazing smells from the Christmas markets, and everything just feels magical around this time of year. It seems like it rolls round earlier and earlier each year, but I'm not complaining.

These are my first Christmas nails of the season, I hope you like them!

Polishes used to create these nails:
Model's Own Blooboo for the base, Green Tea for the tree, Gold Finger for the gingerbread man, Snowflakes for the tree's tinsel and sparkle around the robin.
Barry M's Mushroom for the gingerbread man's shadows and the robin's feathers.
Rimmel London's Lycra Pro in Ruby Me for the gingerbread man's bow tie, the baubles on the tree, the robin's chest and for the candy canes.
Sally Hansen's French White Tip for the snowflakes, the snow around the robin, and the candy cane.

What's your favourite bit about this season?

Special Delivery #12 | November's Birchbox & Review!

This month's Birchbox theme is Cosy at Home. I love staying home and getting into my comfy clothes, cup of tea in hand and catching up on TV shows. This is the perfect theme for November, when all of the Christmas decorations start going up and everyone is layered up in knitwear. I have seen other Birchboxes and I am a little disappointed about the products I received. Let's begin the review...

English Laundry - Signature for Her
I don't really like receiving perfumes in beauty boxes, it feels like a rubbish and cheap sample to give out, especially when these tiny samples are so easy to get. It's one of the reasons why I abandoned Glossybox. I do like the smell, but I don't think I'll be purchasing the full size.

Beauty Protector - Protect & Detangle
This leave-in spray protects from UV damage and heat, while conditioning, detangling, minimising frizz, adding shine and protecting coloured hair. I used it on damp hair and combed through with my Tangle Teaser, leaving it to air dry. I've been to the park (in the wind!) with my dog and my hair is pretty much knot free. Oh and it smells amazing.

Weleda - Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil
This oil is rich in pomegranate seed oil, which helps to protect, firm and renew skin. It contains powerful antioxidants and essential fatty acids. It's meant to make skin feel more elastic, smooth and supple, perfect for the winter months, My upper arms and legs get really dry in the winter, so this is perfect! You are supposed to use this on damp skin, and when I tried it out, I felt like I needed a lot of this product to cover my legs.

Lord & Berry - Mini Bronzer in Sunny
I'm really disappointed with the packaging of this product. It looks super cheap in the plastic casing. The product is quite pigmented and blends quite well. I love that it's matte and not shimmery like most bronzers.

Dr. Jart + - Pore Refine Tight Effect Toner, FULL SIZE!
This product, from South Korea (the GODS of skincare!) promises to tighten pores by controlling excessive sebum, while soothing sensitive skin. I shake the bottle to mix the sebum controlling powder, and then apply it to a cotton pad. After cleansing, I wipe the pad over my face, focusing on my T-zone. Then, I apply moisturiser. My skin is less oily and shiny, meaning it works! This product is very similar to Avene's Cleanance Purifying Mattifying Toner.

Montezuma's Mini Chocolate Bar
I love chocolate. Give me more.

What do you think of this month's Birchbox?

Special Delivery #11 | A new planner!

So I recently discovered a stationary website called Kikki K while looking for weekly and monthly planners. I had thought about getting a Filofax but they weren't appealing to me. Kikki K is like the Australian version of Paperchase, but without the kooky characters. They are a Swedish company based in Australia, and they ship worldwide.

I chose this Kikki K Live Bright 2015 planner because of the pretty colour scheme. I love how it's gold with shades of purple and pink. It's super girly! The planner has a canvas material which I am in two minds about; I would have loved it more if it was leather, but that'd push the price right up. I love the inspiration quotes that can be found on some of the dividers. The planner also has several card pockets, a removable ruler and a pen loop.

The planner costs US $49.95 which when converted is about £31. I signed up to their newsletter and got an email saying I had $10 off my first order, so that's when I purchased it! With shipping fees ($9.95) it cost US $49.90, again around £31, which is the price of some of Filofax's A5 planners.
I have read that you can refill Kikki K planners and diaries with Filofax's refill papers, so that's something I'll probably do for 2016.

You can purchase this planner here.

What do you think of this planner? Do you own one or plan to get one before the year ends?

Nail Art #13 | Navy Flannel Shirt nails!

It has been such a long time since I painted on my nails. I love it this time of year when all the flannel shirts start to make an appearance. I LOVE the tartan prints too. So I decided to put the print on my nails. You'll probably see a lot of upcoming nail posts featuring similar tartan prints. I'm obsessed with it. I'm also planning to paint a set of this design and sell it on Etsy!

I used Model's Own Betty Blue, Seche Vite's top coat, two nail art pens & a striping brush.

What do you think of flannel shirts? Love them or hate them?
