Winter Hand Care Favourites

For today's post, I thought I'd share three of my favourite hand creams that I've been using this winter. I love all three for different reasons and I use them all at different times in the day.

Nail Tutorial #1 | Heart Tips

I'm growing out my natural nails as they're all quite short and uneven right now, so I decided to create a new blog series! In this series I'll be showing you how to create easy nail art looks with step-by-step pictures. I am starting this series off with Valentine's Day themed nails.

A little day out with my Beau!

Beau and I went on a little day out! I was a bit late meeting him because I was stuck in traffic. We first went to Druckers to get some lunch. We ordered a pot of tea and a coffee, as well as chicken mayonnaise croissant, which although tasty, definitely not worth £3.75. We also got two tarts, the apple diplomat (odd name) and a mixed fruit tart. I've always wanted to try their tarts but never bothered to buy one before. We were both a bit disappointed with our tarts. Mine was filled with cream and nothing else, and his had lots of sultanas and raisins. I looked over at the table next to us and definitely should have picked a strawberry or raspberry custard tart.... Next time!

Nail Art #17 | Lilac Sparkles

I really wanted to do some glitter nails, but I also didn't want to deal with removing all of the glitter polish from my nails. So I decided to pair up Barry M's Glitterati polish in Socialite, a gorgeous purple pink with iridescent glitter, along side WAH London's Mating Surfaces, a lovely lilac.

I painted on two coats of Mating Surfaces and waited for it to dry. I then used a striping brush, dipped into Socialite to create the triangle shapes. I did think about using striping tape to help me create neat lines, but I think I did fine without them. I topped it off with Seche Vite's top coat.

My natural nails have had it with winter and are now breaking, chipping, and splitting. I'm cutting them down and starting fresh! I am planning on doing some nail art tutorials while my nails grow back.

What do you think of this week's manicure?

My last purchase of 2014 - A Magnitone Lucid!

Just before the Boxing Day Sales began, I was thinking about buying a Clarisonic Face Brush, but the price was so off-putting! I didn't see any in the sales, and so I looked at other face brushes. It just so happened that my No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Face Brush had started to rust (supposed to be waterproof) and that the lock to the battery lid had broken off (I couldn't find the piece to put it back together).

I looked at other face brushes and found Magnitone. I've never heard of this brand before, so I Googled reviews about their brushes and they've got near enough 5 star ratings across numerous websites. They've got two brushes to choose from, one for the face and body, and one just for the face. I opted for the Magnitone Lucid Facial Cleansing Brush. They claim you'll have better looking skin within 7 days!
