Sorry for the lack of posts but...

I can explain!
I have been going through a lot of things and in general have just been very busy. I have been at work more than usual, and on top of that I have a dissertation to finish, which is due after May Day Bank holiday.
I spend Monday to Wednesday doing my dissertation, and Thursday to Saturday at work, then Sunday is my rest day where my mind goes blank and all I want to do is sleep.
I will be back soon with regular posts once I've finally completed my dissertation!

Review: Aussie Miracle Shine collection

After winning a Twitter competition ran by Aussie a few weeks ago, I got this lovely box of goodies in the post! How lucky am I?
(From L-R: Aussie Miracle Shine Shampoo, Conditioner, 3 Minute Miracle Shine, Miracle Recharge Leave-In Spray)

Like all of their Aussie products (I've used a lot), the smell is just so good. I am not sure how to describe the smell of the Miracle Shine range, other than it's very sweet and a bit fruity. After shampooing & conditioning my hair, spritzing it with the Miracle Recharge spray and leaving it to air dry. The second day after using the range, my hair seemed more oily than usual. I'm not entirely sure why that is.

This is my hair after the second time using the collection.
I already have a natural shine to my hair and I wasn't sure what more it could do. However, it is a subtle difference - it does bring out a bit of shine but don't expect glossy-model-locks. It does make my hair really soft and smell really nice, and like all of their Aussie products, it's super moisturising. The second time I washed my hair with this collection, I replaced the Miracle conditioner with the 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner and I personally think that this is my favourite product of the range.

Have you tried the Miracle Shine range? What do you think?

Floral nails

This weekend I'm going to a Christening, and I've picked out a pastel pink lace dress to wear. I won't be matching my nails to my dress, and I wanted a simple design on my nails. You might not think that this is simple, but to me it is!

I am using Model's Own Nyla Nude. It's a great opaque polish and is one of my favourite nude colours out there.

My skin care routine

I don't have the best skin (a mixture of combination and dry, red, patchy and uneven skin tones) and my main priority is to keep spots away. I use one main brand for this problem and that's Avene. I am a total convert after trying a lot of spot-fighting products, which just made my skin a whole lot worse.

Avene Cleanance Soapless Cleanser
I've mentioned this in my previous blog post. This cleanser is by far the best one I have ever used. I wish Avene did trial sized versions as it can be quite pricey when you don't know if it'll work for your skin. But it worked for me and after a few weeks of keeping the same regime my spots were disappearing! You can sometimes get samples of their products using their website after you've completed a quiz about your skin. Sometimes i'll use it with my No7 Cleansing Brush for exfoliation once or twice a week.

Avene Cleanance K Moisturiser
This cream contains those good spot fighting acids (salicylic, glycolic and lactic acids). After I use my cleanser I put this moisturiser on and it gives me a slight stinging sensation on random parts of my face. I like to think that this is the cream doing it's job and fighting any spots that want to appear.

Products I use every now and then

Nivea Night Cream
I use this product for the dry patchy areas I might have on my skin. The cream is really thick and is really moisturising. I don't use this often but when I do use it, my skin feels like it's instantly repaired overnight. Those dry patches? Gone. A little of this product goes a long way.

Avene TriAcneal Treatment Cream
This product is for when you've got scars or dark spots after having blemishes. It's also good for reducing spots and blackheads. I only use this every now and then when I think a spot will appear overnight. Like the moisturiser it has a slight stinging factor to it, but it's not at all painful.

Seikisho Mask White
This is a pore strip in a bottle. It comes out as a thick black gel and you just spread a thick amount over problem areas like your nose or chin, let it dry and then you peel it off. And it rips out your blackheads just like a pore strip. After you've peeled off the mask, you can see all of the blackheads that have been pulled out. It's disgusting but so good. (Maybe one day I'll do an in-depth review about it, pictures of my ripped out blackheads and all. What do you think?)

I am currently trying out Soap & Glory's Puffy Eye attack and I still need a product for the redness around my nose, have you guys got a suggestion for me? Let me know!

Happy #AirMaxDay!

Today it's the 27th birthday of my most loved trainer design, the Air Max.

I've taken these to Paris in July 2013 for mine and Beau's first year anniversary, and it was scorching hot. So that's why they look so ... Patchy.
But they are the comfiest pair I've ever had, and they were worth every penny.
(Some people think they're fake...)
I love them to pieces.
Some girls don't like to wear trainers because they can look boyish, but it's super easy to dress them up.
Here's an old photo from my trip to Paris.

Happy Birthday to a classic.

March favourites

Recently I've been loving the smell of limes, the taste of anything with limes in (especially key lime pie) and the refreshing feeling of them! These are just some of my favourite body/make-up products for this month:

Soap & Glory Lime Crush Body Wash (£8, Boots)
I treat this body wash like luxury. I only use this once a week as a treat and to make a change from my usual daily shower wash. It smells like key lime pie and is so moisturising! It lathers really well and there's so much product this will last me a long time.

Carmex Lime lip balm (£3, Superdrug/Boots)
I've got so many lip balms (Babylips, Vaseline, etc) and this is the only one that I trust to make my lips super soft. Plus it smells so nice I can't resist reapplying it even though there's no need to! It lasts a good few hours on my lips and doesn't feel sticky. It's really hydrating and it's great for chapped lips too.

I Love... Raspberry and Blackberry shower creme (£3, Superdrug)
This is my daily shower wash, it smells like a cherry bake well tart. The smell doesn't last long on my skin but that's not really an issue to me as I use perfumes and body sprays. I love how cheap this product was, and this is why I prefer to use this shower gel over the S&G one.

Avene Cleanance Soapless Gel Cleanser (£10.50, Boots)
The only product to have ever cleared up my skin from spots. I haven't used another face wash since I converted to this brand. It lathers well & the bottle lasts a long time. Plus the bottle has a twist lid, so there are no accidental lid breakages. I know it's a bit pricey for a cleanser, but it really does keep the spots away.

HD Brows in Foxy (£19.95, various websites)
I don't need to say much about this product other than it's the best eyebrow powder I've ever used. It has three shades of brown and one highlighting powder, and it also comes with a mini brush applicator. Great for on the go touch ups.

Maybelline Eraser Eye (£7.99 Superdrug/Boots)
This brightens up my eye and as you can tell I've been using it A LOT. It's got great coverage and it's my favourite concealer for under my eyes. The only downside is that it can cake up if I try to apply anymore to my skin.

Are there any products that I should try?
Let me know!
